How it works
From scoping to signed contract, in a single sitting.
Nuppact is a private financial agreement, written together and executed as a contract. Full financial disclosure on both sides, a structured agreement, a comprehension check for each signer, and a signed PDF stored permanently in both accounts. Here's exactly how that happens.
Tell us what's bringing you here
Engaged, moving in, buying property, a new baby, an inheritance, one partner starting a business, a blended family, an amicable separation. We scope your contract around the moment you're in, so only the sections you need appear in the agreement builder.
- ~4 min onboarding
- Moment-based, not stage-based
- Open to married, engaged or cohabiting couples
Disclose, together in one sitting
You complete a single guided form in one sitting. Partner A discloses what they personally own, owe and earn (including the most recent value of any pensions), then Partner B does the same, and finally you jointly document the assets, debts and commitments you already share. The form captures everything in one structured record: the disclosure that gives the contract its evidential weight.
- Partner A discloses individually
- Partner B discloses individually
- Shared assets captured jointly
Build the agreement together
Only the sections relevant to you appear. You answer side-by-side or async; each section has a 'we agree' or 'we want to discuss this' flag. Guided prompts surface disagreements, explore root positions, and suggest options. Structured discussion support, not legal advice.
- ~10 sections, scoped to your situation
- Guided prompts surface friction
- Bespoke 'what if' scenarios
Review, declare, then sign
Before signing, you both read through everything you've agreed and discuss any open questions. When you're ready, each partner completes their declarations (that disclosure has been full and honest, that you've entered into this freely, and that you understand what you're signing) and signs digitally with full name and date. Both partners must sign for the agreement to be complete. Once signed, both of you receive a copy by email, and your Nuppact is stored permanently in your account.
- Read through together before signing
- Declarations + digital signature from each partner
- Signed PDF emailed to both and stored permanently
Optional annual renewal
On the anniversary of signing, both partners are optionally prompted to review, update, and re-sign. You can confirm the current version still reflects your intentions, or adjust it to reflect changes in assets, income, or life circumstances. $5 per renewal. Every version is archived with its own execution record, creating a timeline of mutual agreement that strengthens the contract's evidential weight over time.
- Prompted on the anniversary
- Update or reaffirm as needed
- $5 per year (optional), every version archived
What you walk away with
A private contract, full disclosure, and a record that strengthens over time.
A signed private contract (PDF)
Both names, both signatures, full disclosure on both sides, consideration clause, timestamp. A meaningful legal artefact stored permanently in both accounts.
A version history
Every optional annual renewal archived with its own execution record. Each reaffirmation strengthens the contract's evidential weight over time.
A starting position
For the 90% of separations resolved privately, this is what couples use instead of starting from scratch. Significantly stronger than nothing.
Nuppact produces a private financial agreement between two individuals. Private contracts between competent adults are recognised in law across most jurisdictions. The enforceability of specific terms will depend on your jurisdiction, the circumstances of any dispute, and the discretionary powers of relevant courts, particularly in matters governed by family law. Nuppact does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for independent legal counsel. We recommend seeking legal advice where significant assets, pensions, or international property are involved.
